Education Other Than at School
EOTAS
EOTAS' stands for 'Education Other Than at School,' and is sometimes referred to as 'EOTIS' or 'Education Other Than in School.' This term provides educational provisions for learners who are unable to attend school in the traditional manner, whether that be in a mainstream or special school setting.
Our EOTAS Package offers flexible and personalised educational support tailored to meet the needs of students who require alternative learning environments. Education can take place in a variety of settings, including at home, online, in a library, or at a community centre—anywhere that provides a safe and conducive learning atmosphere for the learner. Our goal is to ensure that each student receives the high-quality education they deserve, regardless of their circumstances.
Who is entitled to EOTAS?
Local Authorities have a duty to ensure that every child has access to an education. When no other suitable provision is available, they can provide and fund EOTAS (Education Other Than at School) packages. Even if a young person cannot attend school, they still have the right to quality educational experiences and the opportunity to learn and develop skills for their future.
Cost
The cost of EOTAS (Education Other Than at School) packages will be determined in consultation with the Local Authority and may differ from the prices listed on our service page. This is due to the bespoke nature of EOTAS packages, which are tailored to the specific educational and support needs of each student.
